Amman, Jordan – September 20, 2018 – Tamatem Inc., the leading mobile games publisher in the Arabic speaking market, will be attending TechCrunch Startup Battlefield MENA 2018.The event will take place on October 3, 2018 at Beirut Digital District.
Hammo will be joining a panel called “MENA Content Plays with Paul Chucrallah” alongside Rami Al Qawasmi the founder and CEO of Mawdoo3.com, a comprehensive online Arabic content publisher. The panel will discuss key entrepreneurs in the MENA region and the sheer lack of Arabic language content online for consumers, whether it be media, music, games or events.
“Arabic is the fourth most spoken language in the world and less than 1% of content online is in Arabic,” Hammo said. “The panel will shed more light on the region and showcase how rich the Arabic language is.”
TechCrunch Startup Battlefield MENA 2018, will bring a startup pitch competition that will launch 15 startups from the MENA region. The Battlefield consists of three rounds with 15 teams who will have six minutes to pitch and present a live demo to VC investors and experts in the tech industry. The winning startup with receive a USD 25,000 no-equity cash prize and win a trip to compete in Startup Battlefield at TechCrunch Disrupt in 2019.
